Kate is leaving for a music therapy internship in Houston (congrats Kate!), so we'll be meeting for the next few weeks at my apartment near 9th & Massachusetts - please call or email me for the address. We'll still be meeting Thursdays at 8:00 p.m.

Hey!

Welcome to the songwriters' workshop! This is a group for musicians and writers in Lawrence, Kansas to get together each week to share original songs and other creative work. All styles and experience levels are welcome, and there's no cost or obligation; the purpose of this group is just to get writing and sharing your songs, to experience others' brand new original work, to give and receive feedback, and to have a good time. Don't worry if your songs are a work in progress - that's part of the fun! We usually have weekly prompts to get the creativity flowing, and you are free to interpret them however you'd like, or just ignore them and write whatever you please.

Also, the songwriters' workshop is not just for songs! Other creative works are welcome as well....short stories, poems, paintings...fashion design.... If you're looking for inspiration, motivation, and an opportunity to share your work, this may be just the place for you!
